Problems at The Pigeon Loft

I'm afraid there's some bad news for pigeon fanciers. Lana Grossa, the company who make Mr.Pigeon yarn, have discontinued Mr.Pigeon's colour and I can't buy it ANYWHERE. This means that there will only be a few more old-style Mr.Pigeons up for sale in future.

Don't worry, this is not the end of pigeon production. I have found some yarn of identical weight in a similar colour and this will hopefully prove to be a decent substitute. It will be arriving shortly so I will unveil the new look Mr.P in the near future and you can tell me what you think of the substitution.

Please feel free to send Lana Grossa angry e-mails...I have!

That is too bad. :(
If you like, I could check in my big wool shop over here. You never know, they quite often discount the old yarns at really low prices. :)

Might have to get myself one of your pigeons now...!

Nooo - that's some extremely alarming news. I hate it when tried and tested crafty materials are discontinued (had this with an art nouveau charm once - oh, the teeth gnashing). I'm sure new Mr P will be just as spandy as his old-style cousins though. You never know - this might cause a flurry in the antiques world - old Mr Ps might be selling for millions by Christmas! The pigeon loft could become the pigeon penthouse!

OH NO!!!!! What a calamity - thank heavens my Mr Pigeon is ready and waiting - especially considering what Silverpebble says about their potential antique value!!! Lucy x

Silly woolly people ....grrr! I just hope they track down all their remaining stock of pigeon coloured yarn and send you a lifetime supply!!

I'm sure the new look Mr P's will be very lovely. I agree with Silverpebble...the Mr P originals are true collectors items now :)

Gonna camp outside Locket's house and mug the postman...unless you're meeting up to hand it over, in which case I'll have to mug her for her pigeon!!

How dare they! Sure the new look Mr P will be lovely.

How can they! I'm sure your new yarn will be great though, fingers crossed.

How COULD they? I think questions should be asked in the House ...

Well this is a travesty! Fancy discontinuing that colour when they're obviously selling gazillions of balls to you for pigeon purposes!

Hmmm .... on the other hand .... maybe the new colour will be even more pigeony (don't worry, I'm covering Greg's ears) (well .... I think I am ....) and I'll need to try and bag a new pigeon chum (still covered).

I enjoyed the shots of Mr P's day out, and thanks very much! Now I have loft envy!

:)

Oh no - where do I send my list of partition signatures? All the bunnies in the workshop have signed ..... can you find a good subsitute? The pigeon making has to continue ;-)

That's preposterous. A protest must be made immediatley. Let's send lots of pigeons to do their business over their business premises. What is the world coming too.
